Library

Library being a treasure for those who can read but a mother lode of peace for those who can understand – avcc has a library which is well built, spacious, well ventilated with full of natural lights, fully air-conditioned illustrated with comfortable furniture, open shelves and bright outlook. Inside the library there is an internet room with one pc with high speed internet connection for net surfing and email browsing which is free for all members. children below 16 years of age are not allowed to use the pc kept inside the internet room.

The contents of the library can be classified as follows:

  1. Army books
  2. Books for small children – well illustrated and attractive books on fairy tales, fables etc.
  3. Books depicting stories of travels, adventures, discoveries, inventions.
  4. Biographies of great men and women.
  5. Suitable works of fiction, both in hindi and english.
  6. Mmanagement books.
  7. Reference books.
  8. Dictionaries.
  9. Spiritual books.
  10. Health books.
  11. Maps
  12. Mewspapers and Periodicals (Hindi and English).

In total there are 3000 books, 19 Newspapers and 20 magazines. At a time a member can issue only two books and two magazines. the books are issued for 14 days and magazines for one week. A fine of Rs.2 per book will be charged from the members who are unable to return the books and magazines within the specified due date and have not renewed the book before the due date.
