Dear Members,
Lohri festival which marks the beginning of the harvest season was celebrated in AVCC after 3 years with lot of enthusiasm, vigour and vitality by all the members and their families.More than 400 members had taken part in this celebration. It started with the lighting of the lamp by all the President’s of the three Institutes and entertainment program by Kala Sangam ( Ms. Usha Kapur and team) which was followed by the Pooja function and lighting of Bon Fire to seek the blessings from Lord Agni. People in huge numbers gathered around the bonfire and threw gajak, popcorn, etc into the fire as tributes to God in exchange of blessings. Prasad was distributed to all the members. Scintillating music and Dhol added to the attraction of the festival that compelled everyone to dance and join to the tune of love, harmony and peace on this pious occasion. Members with their families enjoyed the refreshments which were available on Payment basis.
